Greetings Future Artist!

The Cosmetology Program is designed to prepare students to qualify and successfully complete all requirements for a South Carolina Cosmetology license. Students receive training that follows the guidelines and regulations established by the South Carolina Labor, Licensing, and Regulation Cosmetology Board. The course of study includes Sanitation and Safety, Professionalism and Salon Management, Sciences of Cosmetology, Professional Hair Care Skills, Professional Nail Care Skills, Professional Skin Care Skills, and Unassigned Specific Needs. Instruction in chemistry, bacteriology, anatomy, and physiology of the face, head, arms, and hands is incorporated by means of theory and practical application on both mannequins and live models.

I have been in the cosmetology industry for 21 years, 12 of those being in cosmetology education. My beginnings in the cosmetology industry started here at Lancaster Career Center and I am more than excited to share my knowledge and experience with the students. My main objective throughout the cosmetology program is to prepare students with a quality education in cosmetology that will not only prepare them for the State examination, but to be successful leaders in the industry as well. A career in cosmetology has great opportunities that expand far beyond  being behind the chair. I am excited to be a part of the future of the beauty industry and ask for students full commitment to excellence as I work with the students and we share knowledge.

Welcome future beauty professionals!

About Me:  Having spent over 29 years in the hospitality industry in places such as The Ritz, London, The Prince Regent Hotel, London, The Radisson Berkshire Hotel, London, Bank of America, Corporate Food Services, Charlotte, NC & Charlotte City Club, Charlotte NC; I have amassed some amazing experiences and skills to pass on to the culinary students of Lancaster County.  Culinary Arts is not an easy subject, but can be incredibly rewarding.  When students are willing to learn and put in the hard work and commitment, the sky is the limit.
