Who We Are

The Lancaster County School District includes a teaching staff of 70 arts teachers in the areas of Instrumental Music, Choral Music, Visual Art, Theatre and Dance across 12 elementary schools, 1 intermediate school, 5 middle schools and 4 high schools serving over 13,000 students. The primary goal for all district arts programs is to provide high-quality, equitable arts experiences for all students.

Our Beliefs

  • ALL students should receive a quality arts education that align with the 2017 SC Standards for Visual and Performing Arts

  • ALL students should be taught through best practices by dynamic, certified, arts educators.

  • ALL students should have the opportunity to experiment, explore, develop, and nourish their skills in all art forms (music, theater, dance, visual art, creative writing, and media arts).

  • ALL students should be exposed to culturally diverse arts experiences at every grade level.

Congratulations to the Indian Land Warrior Band!  On Saturday Oct, 28 the Indian Land HS Band competed in the SCBDA 4A State Championships.  The Pride of the Tribe placed 8th, earning a superior rating.
