LCSD partnered with the SC Commission on Higher Education Wednesday to kick off South Carolina’s 2026 College Application Season at Andrew Jackson High School!

The statewide kickoff brought together seniors, college representatives, educators and community leaders to help students take the next step toward their future.

We continue to celebrate the success of our students!

The 2026 SC READY results are in, and our students across elementary, middle, and high school are making impressive strides.

Elementary: Strong growth across grades, with an average increase of more than 5 points in both ELA and math.

Middle School: Three of the district’s biggest gains came at the middle school level, including a +16.7-point increase in Grade 8 Math, the largest gain in the district!

High School: Lancaster students outperformed the state average in three of four tested subjects, including +8.5 points in Biology and +5.9 points in U.S. History.
