Monday, May 06, is a B-Day.
Students in all grades will be taking SC READY exams on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week. The state of South Carolina requires that students participate in these exams. If your child is absent from an exam this week, a make-up exam will be scheduled.
Please make every effort to have your student at school on time each day. Students should be prepared with a good night's rest, a fully charged chromebook, and a healthy breakfast each morning.
Students' technology is a major concern during testing. Students are encouraged to leave smart watches at home. Cell phones must be powered off and remain in their backpacks during exams. Backpacks will be placed in hallways during testing, so your student may prefer to leave cellphones at home.
Kona Ice will be here on Wednesday for all lunches. Prices range from $4-$7, and both cash and card will be accepted.
Sixth, seventh, and eighth grade choruses will present the spring musical on Thursday, May 9, in the VPAC. Any donation as admission is greatly appreciated.
All library books need to be returned by Friday, May 10. There will be a charge for any library books that have been lost. Please see Mrs. Tillman for any amount owed.
Recovery will run through May 24. If recovery is not served by then, your child will be in danger of being retained in their current grade or will be required to attend summer school. Recovery is held on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday after school.
Add to your calendars–the eighth grade promotion ceremony will be held on May 29 at 6:30 p.m.
Rising seventh graders and eighth graders can now submit their request for Encore classes for the 2024-25 school year using the form on the school website. The forms are due by May 31 and must be verified by a parent or guardian. Email addresses for the consenting parent or guardian must be included on the survey request. Schedules for next year will be formulated using these requests, and no schedules that are created according to the request will be changed.
