notepad with words "weekly update"

On Tuesday, the University of South Carolina Lancaster Native American Studies Center will present indigenous music and dance to 8th grade students.  We are looking forward to a fantastic opportunity to connect the 8th grade Social Studies standards to the Arts.

Tuesday is also the last day to bring in canned goods for Care. Someone will be getting a pie in the face after the break.

Yearbooks are now available for purchase. Please visit our school website for the link to purchase or ask your student for the yearbook flier that was sent home.

Have you ordered your student's fall pictures? You still have the opportunity to make a purchase before the holidays! Simply visit our school website for more information to place an order for prints or digital copies.

The Andrew Jackson Middle School Academic Challenge Team is seeking students to join for the 2025 season. The team competes in quiz bowl style matches against other schools all over the region and state. Last year's team won the regional tournament and went on to the state finals where they finished in runners up. Applications can be picked up in the AJMS office or from Ms. Brown or Ms. Hilton. Teacher recommendation forms are due Monday December 2nd!

Students, please take time over the break to clean out the trash from your bookbags. This will help speed up the process as we continue to use random metal detector screenings. Also, there is no need for students to bring scissors to school. Teachers will have those for you if you need them for an assignment.

There will be no school for students or staff on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. We hope everyone has a safe and restful Thanksgiving break. We are thankful for everyone in the AJMS family.
