The AJMS Chorus is pleased to welcome Nashville-Tennessee-based composer Garrett Breeze for an artist-in-residency on March 18 and 19, 2025. Mr. Breeze has written a commissioned work entitled “Incredible to Me” and the AJMS Chorus will be the first ever to sing this song. A commissioned work for Chorus is like having an author write a book specifically for an ELA class. The AJMS Chorus is very excited about this opportunity!
During the residency, Mr. Breeze will be discussing how he composed “Incredible to Me” and the over 1500 songs he has written in his career. He has written for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, music for the video games World of Warcraft and Overwatch. His music can also be heard on major television shows like Access Hollywood, Judge Judy, Lego Masters and NOVA. Additionally, he hosts a podcast.
Garrett holds a bachelor’s degree in Media Music from Brigham Young University and a master’s degree in Commercial Composition and Arranging from Belmont University. The AJMS Chorus is excited to welcome Mr. Breeze as our Artist-in-Residence and to perform the music he wrote specifically for the chorus!
The residency is supported by a 2024-25 Distinguished Arts Program Grant that AJMS receives from the South Carolina Arts Commission.
