Last year during our School Improvement Committee meeting, a parent suggested posting a graphic on our digital sign to give parents a topic to ask their students about. From there, the "Hey Parents!" series was born!
While the digital sign on 521 is under repair, you'll be able to find this graphic on our website and facebook pages. We plan to update it at least twice a month! ILIS has received positive feedback that it helps parents think of things to ask their children about. We all know that this age can be tough with getting kids to open up about their school day. A common response to, "How was your day? What did you do?" is "Fine. Nothing". Hopefully you are able to benefit from this series in your home!
