Today, September 26, 2025, Lancaster County School District is aware that inclement weather is expected early next week which may include significant rain, flooding, and high winds. We are closely monitoring the weather event and will continue to provide updates on any cancellations. At this time, all after school events, practices, and games will continue as planned. We will provide an update on Sunday.

Andrew Jackson High at Fairfield game has moved to 7:00 pm start
Buford High at North Central game has moved to a 6:30 pm start
Lancaster High vs. Richland Northeast starts at 7:30 pm (Homecoming)
Indian Land High vs. Rock Hill starts at 7:30 pm (Homecoming)
Buford High will celebrate Homecoming on October 3, 2025 and Andrew Jackson High will celebrate Homecoming on October 17, 2025.

EOC staff examined attendance data and test scores from a sample of 493,609 public school students in South Carolina. The students were in 3rd through 12th grade during the 2023-2024 school year.
Attendance Patterns:
Perfect Attendance: Attended all days enrolled (zero absences)
Excellent Attendance: Absent for less than 5% of days enrolled
Good Attendance: Absent at least 5% but fewer than 10% of days enrolled
Chronically Absent: Absent at least 10% but fewer than 15% of days enrolled
Very Chronically Absent: Absent at least 15% but fewer than 20% of days
Extremely Chronically Absent: Absent for 20% or more of days enrolled
