The group explored how learning grows across grade levels — from 1st graders learning to read, to 5th graders mastering math concepts, to high school AP ELA students reading to learn. They also toured North Elementary to experience firsthand what learning looks like across Lancaster County School District.

Just another reason to celebrate the partnership between our School District and the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office SC!
Matt Hilsmier and Anna Henson, School District Mental Health Counselors/Social Workers, spent their day off this week conducting a day of Mindset Safety Management training with our district's School Resource Officers from the Lancaster County Sheriff's Department. The SROs were taught de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques utilized by school district employees.
The day sparked many collaborative conversations between professionals who are committed to keeping our students and staff safe and supported.
We look forward to our continued partnership throughout all the schools in our county.

Six students from Indian Land Middle School's choir — Hannah Allen, Addison Grant, Clara Guzman, Kleoniki Kotrides, Lyla Reese, and Noelle Shutt — were selected for the SC ACDA Honors Choir from over 1,200 submissions statewide!
Congratulations to Joseph Orama, who will represent Lancaster County in the Southern Region Jr. High Mixed Honor Choir in Memphis, TN!
