HARD WORK PAYS OFF! 🚀

We are bursting with pride for our CTE (Career and Technical Education) students and teachers! Because of their incredible performance in earning State and National Certifications, our 328 State Certification Funds saw a massive jump this year:

📊 Last Year: $39,964 💰 This Year: $59,160

That is nearly a $20,000 increase in direct funding! In our district, excellence is rewarded. These funds go right back into our programs to keep providing our students with the best equipment, training, and opportunities.

Join us in congratulating our hardworking CTE educators and students for proving that LCSD is leading the way! 🏆👏

LCSD Director of Career and Technical Education shared, "We are so proud of all of our CTE teachers and students districtwide because they have done so well in earning State and Nationally recognized CTE certifications our programs have the opportunity to grow and give free certifications to students wanting to earn them."

Paws-itively wonderful day in Lancaster County! 🐾 Students from across the district gathered on February 20, 2026, to bring the world of Dogtown by Katherine Applegate and Gennifer Choldenko to life.
From mastering the art of pet origami to meeting a professional dog trainer, our young readers dove headfirst into hands-on learning. They even stepped into the shoes of entrepreneurs to design "Adopt a Dog" marketing campaigns and crafted handmade toys for our furry friends. It’s amazing to see how a great book can spark so much creativity! 🐶📚

Students are exploring their futures during Career Day, learning from real professionals and asking great questions. We’re thankful for our amazing community partners who took time to pour into our students, including Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, Lancaster County Fire & Rescue, University of South Carolina Lancaster, Comporium, South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce, York Technical College, South Carolina Governor’s School for Agriculture, Governor’s School for Science and Mathematics Outreach, Lancaster County Animal Shelter, Lancaster County Water & Sewer District, South Carolina State Parks, and Founders Federal Credit Union.

As Beth Bottini shared, “It is like a conference we would go to. We want to be sure they have an opportunity to hear from people in the field and ask questions. We also included the financial piece because we know how important that is.”
