Families that qualify for reduced-priced meals will receive meals for FREE this year!
The State of South Carolina is providing free meals to students that qualify for reduced-price meals for the 2024-2025 School Year that are not attending a CEP school.
These schools are NOT CEP in our district: Harrisburg Elementary, Indian Land Elementary, Indian Land Intermediate, Van Wyck Elementary, Indian Land Middle, Indian Land High. Students at non-CEP schools complete the meal application and it is determined whether they receive free or reduced meals.
Community Eligible Programs (CEP) are determined by the poverty index.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
I want to begin by extending my sincerest apologies for the confusion and frustration many of you have experienced regarding bus routes for the start of this school year. The safety of your children is our top priority, and I deeply regret that the communication surrounding their transportation has not met the standards you deserve and expect from us.
The information that was shared with you was believed to be accurate at the time of distribution. However, it has become clear that there were significant errors or omissions in the data, which have caused undue stress and concern for many families. I take full responsibility for this situation, and I understand how critical reliable transportation is for our students and families.
Please know that our transportation office is working diligently to correct these errors and will provide you with all bus route information as quickly as possible. We understand the impact this has on your daily routines and your peace of mind, and we are committed to making things right.
Moving forward, we are taking immediate steps to ensure that our communication is clear, accurate, and timely. We are also implementing additional checks and safeguards to prevent this kind of issue from occurring again in the future.
Your trust is important to us, and we are dedicated to restoring it through improved communication, transparency, and an unwavering focus on student safety. We will keep you informed of any further updates, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through these challenges. The updated link for bus routes is listed below: https://lancastercsdsc.sites.thrillshare.com/o/safety-transportation/page/safety-transportation-bus-routes
If you have any questions or need further assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to the transportation office. We are here to support you and your children every step of the way.
Thank you for your continued partnership and for entrusting us with the care of your children.
Yours for Excellence in Education,
Raashad Fitzpatrick, Ed.D.
Superintendent
